Brooke W. Lewis, PA-C
Brooke Lewis hails from Santa Barbara, California. She attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Upon graduation, she was awarded a fellowship with Princeton University, Princeton in Asia. Brooke worked for two years on the Indonesian island of Java in the town of Yogakarta teaching English at a local university. She then moved to the island of Timor to open a new Princeton in Asia posting in the town of Kupang where she worked on public health programs for the nonprofit organization Child Reach. While on Timor, Brooke organized a region-wide, first of its kind, HIV/AIDS education seminar, a village parasite eradication/education project, and a child hospitalization program. It was through her work with Child Reach that Brooke decided to pursue her passion for medicine.
Upon moving back to the United States, Brooke attended a post baccalaureate pre-med program at Tufts University in Boston. While living in Boston, she volunteered at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the Electrophysiology Lab. She then attended Chicago Medical School and earned a Masters of Science degree as a Physician Assistant. Brooke moved to Boulder in the summer of 1999 and worked in dermatology at the Boulder Medical Center for four years. She joined Boulder Dermatology in July 2003.
Brooke and her husband have a son, a greyhound, and a cat. She and her husband enjoy alpine and Nordic skiing, swimming, biking, running, and hiking together. They also take time to read and watch movies, and Brooke enjoys knitting. |
