Joanna Baskett, PA-C

Joanna Baskett was raised in Connecticut. She received a BA in International Studies from the University of Connecticut, which included study abroad at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, and Jagellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Her love of travel and languages led her to teach English in Zamora, Mexico, and she spent five years working with international businesses in Connecticut and Colorado. She discovered Colorado during a winter ski trip, and has lived here since 1993 with a brief hiatus during graduate school.

Her passion for science caused her to change career paths. She worked for two years as a clinic assistant in women’s health while completing science coursework at the University of Colorado in Boulder and Front Range Community College. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A. T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2001. She practiced six years of Urgent Care and Family Medicine before joining Boulder Dermatology in 2007.

Joanna is married and has a dog. She enjoys staying active outdoors hiking and cycling, as well as skiing. She has run a marathon and other running events through the years. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish, Polish, and some French.
